What do you get with the free scan?
When you book a free webshop scan, VARSL reviews your webshop for relevant products.
We scan for products that may be subject to safety information requirements and show up to 20 identified products in your customer portal. You will receive, among other things:
- Scanning of your webshop

- An overview of products that may require CLP data or SDS
- The ability to see how the information can be compiled correctly
- A better basis for assessing the next steps

The process is simple and provides a clear insight into what VARSL can find on your webshop and help with afterwards.
You send us your webshop
You book a free scan via a sign-up form, where we receive the link to your webshop. We use the information to review the webshop and identify products that may be relevant in relation to CLP data and safety data sheets.
VARSL scans the webshop
We scan the webshop and look for products where safety information may be relevant. This could, for example, be products such as cleaning agents, spray products, paint, glue, oil, car care products, or other items with chemical content.
We show up to 20 products
When the scan is completed, up to 20 identified products will be shown in your VARSL customer portal. Here you can see which products the scan found and get an impression of how VARSL can help compile and display the relevant information.
You choose the next step
After the scan, you decide whether you want to proceed. Choose VARSL Self-Service if you want to continue working on individual products yourself. Choose VARSL Full Service if you want help with a more complete scan and setup of the entire webshop. Of course, you can also choose not to do anything further.
What does VARSL scan for?
VARSL looks for signs that a product may require additional safety information.
The scan may, among other things, be based on:
- Product names
- Product texts
- Product descriptions
- EAN numbers
- Supplier item numbers
- Product images
- Known product information
- Available information from databases and manufacturers

Here VARSL scans the webshop more comprehensively, gathers the relevant products in the customer portal, and helps make CLP data and safety data sheets visible to your customers. It is a good solution if you have many products, multiple suppliers, or want a more automated setup.
Automatic updates
Safety data sheets and CLP information can change over time. That is why you can add VARSL’s update service. With automatic updates, you get help keeping safety data sheets and CLP information up to date without time-consuming manual checks. This is particularly relevant if you want to reduce the risk of old or outdated documents being available on your webshop.
